500 user requests incorporated into new email service

GMX Internet Services Inc. (Global Mail Exchange), the preferred email choice for more than 10 million Internet users, today revealed the success of the beta version of its US free email service GMX.com.  Over 100,000 GMX accounts have been created over the past weeks.

Over the past weeks, GMX.com has been continuously improved based on user feedback and customer forums.  Over 500 user requests have been incorporated into today’s GMX feature set.  GMX delivers a powerful, highly reliable email service with an intuitive interface, time-saving mail management tools and unique email features.  A focus is security, with secure log-in, virus protection and superior anti-spam for up to 98 percent fewer spam emails.

GMX currently offers the ‘full package’ for home and mobile email.  GMX’s 5 GB email storage, powerful organizer and integrated file-storage transcends most free email services.  GMX.com also includes the unique MailCollector tool which allows users to collect and manage emails from other accounts (Yahoo, Google Mail, Hotmail) all from within their GMX account.  The in-house development of such features enables GMX to drive the free email market.

Eva Heil, Managing Director of GMX, said, “We are delighted with the enthusiastic response to our US beta.  With this second round, we are confident that even demanding users will find their expectations surpassed.  We’ll continue to develop GMX.com, and in fully exploring our users’ desires for email, we will redefine the standard for free email services.”

GMX draws on many years of email expertise and is well placed to offer a reliable, secure service.  Besides great looks, great performance and state-of-the-art functionality, GMX.com offers the widest selection of first-choice addresses such as name@gmx.com.
