Iconix Truemark Service Adds Support for AOL Mail, AIM Mail, Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 Email identification service extends email client support to protect 90 percent of consumer email

SANTA CLARA, Calif., — April 9, 2008 — ICONIX, Inc., the leading provider of visual email identification solutions, today announced its Iconix® Truemark® service is now available for AOL Mail, AIM Mail, Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. By placing a Truemark Check-lockTM icon next to legitimate email messages, the Iconix Truemark service helps consumers easily identify safe email messages and avoid dangerous phishing attacks.

 

Users of AOL Mail, AIM Mail, Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 will now be able to see the Truemark icon in their inbox next to messages from senders that have been verified as legitimate. The Iconix service identifies legitimate email messages from nearly 500 companies, including leading financial and retail organizations such as eBay, PayPal, Best Buy and Dell, as well as leading travel, social network, information and dating sites. With the addition of AOL Mail, AIM Mail, Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, the Truemark service now supports 90 percent of consumer email volume. The Truemark service also supports Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Mail Classic, Windows Live Hotmail, Outlook Express and Earthlink.

ICONIX has added support for all three versions of AOL Mail and AIM Mail – standard, basic and accessible. Additionally, the Iconix service supports the dozens of domains such as LuckyMail.com and switched.com offered through the AOL My eAddress program. According to Quantcast, mail.aol.com and webmail.aol.com together receive 21.2 million unique visitors per month.
