CM4all OnlineDrive Passes 1 Million User Milestone

08:25:46 - 17 March 2008

COLOGNE, Germany & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With extended disk space becoming readily available within Web Hosting packages, E-Mail accounts and advertisement-based free services, the introduction of value added services to utilize the storage and traffic provided is becoming a crucial tool for ISPs, telcos and web hosting companies to keep their customers loyal. Web Storage solutions are proven to significantly reduce churn rate and create valuable contacts for cross and up-selling to paid services within a predominantly high speed Internet access user base.

With this in mind, CM-AG is pleased to announce that at the end of 2007, the number of users of CM4alls OnlineDrive passed the 1 million user milestone.

The CM4all OnlineDrive, developed by CM-AG, is a file manager, viewer and sharing application with data center levels of file protection all harnessed by a direct mode of control. Leading telcos, MSOs, ISPs and web hosting companies worldwide have already come to rely on the scalability of the CM4all solution.

The CM4all OnlineDrive is available in numerous language versions all delivered with a customizable graphical user interface. It is instantly available to be licensed and installed in the OEM partners data center and while partners benefit from remote maintenance and update processes, they can also autonomously design packages and set pricing for maximum profitability.

In addition to a Web 2.0 file management system with familiar drag-and-drop operation, the CM4all OnlineDrive offers value-added features such as an ActiveX uploader allowing fast upload of multiple image files or ZIP archives; a mobile telephony client for seamless integration; an image editor; comprehensive file presentations; extensive file searching options, advanced file sharing and user management capabilities as well as a Backup Client for advanced file security and synchronization.

The Backup Client complements the web-based software and allows business and consumer customers to conveniently and automatically back-up their digital resources according to simple rules they define in seconds. Advanced scheduling and file synchronization; WebDAV access and the creation of multiple profiles and filters ensure that the latest versions of their photos, videos, music, e-mails, documents and project files are always available and safe. The platform friendly add-on for the OnlineDrive works with Windows® 2000, XP, Vista and Macs and an integrated Auto-update function keeps the application fully tuned at all times.

Deutsche Telekom was the first distributing partner, launching the product within its T-Online brand in 2005. CM-AG developed the new T-Online Media Center based on its high scalable CM4all Technology, the same technology that forms the basis of the successful T-Online homepage products since early 2003. Other international partners including Daily Internet Ltd. and LocaWeb followed suit. LocaWeb, one of Latin Americas leading domain name, web site hosting and telecommunication service providers is the most recent OEM partner, releasing the CM4all OnlineDrive as Disco Virtual to its Brazilian customer base in December 2007.
