Verizon Hosting 'Meet the Employer' Session in Buffalo to Fill 90 Summer Technician Positions in Western New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Verizon recruiters will meet March 14 with candidates for 90 temporary field technician jobs available in Western New York.  The most eligible candidates will be invited back for preliminary testing the next day.

The session, sponsored by the Buffalo Urban League and the Equal Opportunity Employment Center, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Equal Opportunity Center, 465 Washington St.

Verizon is recruiting to fill summer temporary field technician jobs.  Field technicians install and maintain customer equipment, and test and repair both fiber-optic and copper cables that are underground and on poles.  Candidates must be 18 or older and in good physical condition; be able to lift 100 pounds; be willing and able to climb ladders and poles; and have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.  These temporary summer jobs offer a starting wage of $451 per week.
