SWsoft Sitebuilder Enables Championship High School Wrestling Team to Create Website

08:05:37 - 14 November 2007

HERNDON, Va. -- With limited resources and almost no website design experience, a high school sports team created a dynamic website in just a few weeks using innovative software from SWsoft. The Central Dauphin High School state championship wrestling team from Harrisburg, Penn., is using SWsoft Sitebuilder to create a full-functioning, e-commerce website (www.cdwrestling.com) just in time for the start of wrestling season.

The site includes an e-shop that will allow the team to coordinate fundraising sales, offer memberships, accept donations and sell apparel. Using Sitebuilder’s five-step wizard, the team was able to quickly and easily publish a user-friendly website without using HTML or other web development languages. The Central Dauphin Wrestling Association turned to InfoQuest, its local service provider based in Harrisburg, to host the website.

"When you are working with a group of volunteers and parents that is funded through donations, you need a vehicle to get information to the group in a timely and user-friendly format," said Scott Stank, president of the Central Dauphin Wrestling Association. "SWsoft Sitebuilder allows us to reach all our members and anyone who visits our website. Because the software is so easy to use, we can allow several volunteers with limited web design knowledge to manage our site."

"Most off-the-shelf website creation software is too complicated for novice users. SWsoft Sitebuilder makes it easy for small businesses or even someone with no technical expertise to build a website," said Norm Dallago, president of InfoQuest. "Sitebuilder's photo gallery and e-commerce capabilities are more advanced than any comparable site-building tool."

Sitebuilder provides more than 500 templates and interactive text that made it easy for the team to build and then publish its website. The team used Sitebuilder's 12 dynamic modules to add advanced capabilities to the site such as the e-shop, blogging, downloads, photo galleries, RSS feeds, embedded script modules and polls. A new "file download module" feature, available in Sitebuilder 4.0, was used to post a registration form for a golf tournament fundraising event. Participants were then able to easily download the form directly from the website.

"We designed Sitebuilder to empower individuals and organizations in building dynamic websites that are easy to get started with and update over time," said Kurt Daniel, senior vice president of marketing, SWsoft. "Central Dauphin is a perfect example of how users without HTML experience can create a highly informative, powerful and useful website."

SWsoft Sitebuilder is a next-generation, scalable website-building application that can be integrated into any business process for hosting providers, internet service providers (ISPs), registrars and telecoms. Sitebuilder 4.0 is available for Linux/Unix and Windows platforms and can be downloaded at www.swsoft.com/sitebuilder.
