Peak 10 Enters Atlanta Market

07:47:26 - 10 August 2007

Newly Acquired Facility Marks Peak 10's Entry Into Eighth Market

CHARLOTTE, N.C. and ATLANTA, Ga. – Peak 10, Inc., the leading independent data center operator and managed services provider in the United States, today announced the acquisition of a 33,000 square foot facility in the Atlanta, Georgia suburb of Norcross.  Peak 10 Atlanta is currently being upgraded to the standards of the company’s ten world-class data centers in its other seven key markets throughout Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. Peak 10 management expects the new facility will be fully operational in September 2007.

Peak 10 Atlanta is the Company’s second new market expansion in 2007. In February, Peak 10 entered the Richmond, Va. marketplace with its acquisition of well-respected Virginia data center and managed hosting operator, bayMountain. Concurrent with its new market entries, Peak 10 has deepened its commitment to existing markets with major capacity and infrastructure expansions in Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Nashville, Tenn., a market it entered in August 2006 with the purchase of Rentech, Inc.

Kevin Brandon, Peak 10 Board Chairman, said the move into Atlanta reflects Peak 10’s strategy of expanding to contiguous markets, establishing enterprise-class data center facilities and developing a highly skilled local market leadership team for the delivery of services to its customers. “Our executive team has done a tremendous job of bringing their disciplined local service-driven business model to new markets while deepening our footprint and service delivery capabilities in existing markets.  As a result, we have achieved significant scale without diminishing our core value proposition - strong local market presence and customer service.”

“Peak 10’s local leadership has set high standards and has built a solid reputation for understanding and enhancing customer growth,” said David Jones, president and chief executive officer of Peak 10, adding, “We are seeing a strong demand for our services and customer-focused solutions and know that Atlanta is a large market with high growth trends for small/medium enterprise and larger businesses. The reception of Peak 10 in Atlanta has surpassed our expectations.”

According to Peak 10’s Executive Vice President of Market Operations, Jeff Spalding, customers and partners have been asking Peak 10 to consider moving into Atlanta to provide additional geographic diversity and business solutions, which is in line with the company’s long-term strategic plan. “Our success in partnering with clients combined with a truly local service philosophy has enabled us to bring a customer-focused team and service mentality to the Atlanta market,” Spalding said.

Peak 10’s expansion has capitalized upon the growing trend in the business community to outsource IT infrastructure; increasing awareness of the need for business continuity and disaster recovery services; increasing demand for managed IT services; and meeting regulatory compliance demands. Peak 10 allows customers to cost-effectively manage and accelerate their growth, due to the importance of having a trusted and scalable infrastructure partner. The company’s strategic focus is to continue to invest in its market operations, to expand its geographic footprint and to enhance technical capabilities, operating scale and engineering expertise to build and maintain strong customer relationships. "Our ability to enter new markets and expand in established ones is owed to our strong balance sheet, rising cash flow and committed and experienced management team.  We are poised for continued, rapid growth without the need for external equity financing and plan on additional expansion in the near term," added David Jones.

Peak 10 enables companies to increase revenue growth, improve service levels, meet regulatory compliance and lower costs by maximizing internal IT resources and ensuring the security and availability of complex technology infrastructure.  The company operates eleven data center facilities in eight strategic markets with a growing customer portfolio that includes Global Knowledge, Pergo, Churchill Downs, LendingTree and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
