Web Hosting Firm Hostway Offers Free Webinar for Cable and Telecommunications Companies

01:22:53 - 18 October 2006

Web hosting firm Hostway announced that it will present a free live Webinar for Cable TV and telecommunications companies on October 31 at 10:30 a.m./CST.

The Webinar titled “Generate New Revenue Streams with Web Hosting” will feature discussions on Cable TV /Telecommunications market pain points, Web hosting market trends, the place of Web hosting in the sector, the pros and cons of doing it in-house or outsourcing, how to maximize end-user adoption, the future of Web hosting services.

“Now that cable and telecommunications companies offer Internet service, Web hosting is the next logical product to add to their bundled service offering,” said John Lee, Director of global marketing for Hostway. “This Webinar gives these companies the opportunity to learn from highly reputable and respected panelists on how to incorporate hosting in their product mix and how this important addition will help them increase revenue and customer retention.”

The Webinar includes expert panelists from TopHosts, an independent Web hosting directory and HeadScratchers, a technology consulting company. The Web seminar will be led by Hostway, a leading provider of Web hosting and online services.

Mike Kallet, CEO and founder of HeadScratchers, will discuss the cable and telecommunications market pain points and how Web hosting and online services can help alleviate those aches. As a former technology and operations executive, Kallet is experienced in leading the creation and delivery of award-winning products and services spanning a variety of computer and communications technologies and markets.

“Communication companies can attract and retain business customers by moving up the food chain and offering business application services on top of the commoditized access they provide today,” said Kallet. “Offering professionally managed, outsourced Web hosting and e-mail services to small and medium-sized businesses is a great way to quickly and profitably get in the game of adding value to their customers, and requires virtually no internal development or capital.”

Cliff Boodoosingh, Managing Editor of VerticalScope Inc. Technology Division that includes TopHosts.Com, will share his expert opinion on the Web hosting market and how outsourcing hosting gives cable and telecommunications companies room to grow quickly.

“Meeting the needs of the customer by creating and shaping value-added services is the primary challenge faced by hosting service providers. Those hoping to drive sustainable revenues in this market had better be up to speed or delve quickly into the outsourcing alternative or they face being left behind,” said Boodoosingh.

Art Matteotti, VP of global sales at Hostway will serve as the moderator for the Web seminar and will offer insight on how Web hosting can create customer stickiness by maximizing end-user adoption.
