Intermedia.NET Expands Management Team

New York – Intermedia.NET, the US leader in hosted Microsoft Exchange and Web hosting for small and medium businesses, announced an expanded management team to further accelerate its rapid rise in the hosting industry.

Serguei Sofinski has been named CEO of the company, with overall control of products and strategy for the company. As COO for Intermedia.NET, he managed operations through the 1990s, successfully weathering the technology industry downturn and resuming the company’s rapid growth to become a leader in Microsoft Exchange hosting and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

Sofinski brings many years of experience in the hosting industry, and will continue Intermedia.NET’s push forward as the US leader in Microsoft Exchange hosting and Web hosting for small and medium businesses. Former president and CEO Michael Choupak will continue as president of the company working on day-to-day strategy, and will also remain as chairman of the overall organization.

Said Choupak, “Serguei has been a tremendous driver of the company’s growth, and as we reorganize and ramp-up our management structure, I am confident we can move further ahead as a leader in our industry.

Intermedia.NET has also appointed Robert E. Leibholz as vice president, sales and business development. Previously with the musical copyrights management agency HFA, where he served as senior director, client relations. In his new role at Intermedia.NET, he will oversee and expand the sales team as well as managing new business relationships and ventures.

The company made two internal promotions, with Andrew Gachechiladze becoming vice president, product development and engineering, where he will run Intermedia.NET's large group of software developers and product engineers. His group will oversee the creation and rollout of all new services, as well as maintaining HostPilot, Intermedia.NET’s industry-leading and proprietary control panel for hosted Exchange and Web hosting.

Rurik Bradbury also becomes vice president, marketing, having joined in 2005 from FitzGerald Communications, where he was an account director working with a number of technology companies and also for ABSOLUT Vodka.
