Opsware Appoints New Japan General Manager

Opsware Inc. (www.opsware.com), a provider of IT automation and utility computing software, today announced the appointment of Naomi Tomita as general manager, Opsware Japan. In his position, Mr. Tomita will utilize his deep expertise in sales and business development to further develop Opsware's presence in the Asia-Pacific region and leverage demand for the company's award-winning IT automation products.

"Mr. Tomita's track record in successfully growing companies across Asia-Pacific will provide Opsware with an even stronger global presence, and cement the company's leadership position in a rapidly expanding market," said Mark Cranney, executive vice president of worldwide sales for Opsware.

Prior to joining Opsware, Mr. Tomita founded Revo-Tec Partner Japan, a consulting company representing several U.S.-based technology startups including CollabNet, Pulse3D Entertainment and WindSpring. Before that, he served as president and CEO of Engage Japan, a CMGI company and leader in Internet advertising.

A seasoned technology veteran, Mr. Tomita holds a B.S. in commerce from Tokyo International University and previously served as Chairman of Toshiba PC Software Associations.
