Incognito Launches Broadband Command Center

10:57:27 - 08 November 2005

Incognito Software today announced the newest innovation in affordable device provisioning: the Broadband Command Center™ (BCC) Appliance, a software-and-hardware package designed for small- to medium-sized broadband operators with hundreds to thousands of subscribers.

Offering pre-installed software, workflow automation, and built-in reliability, the BCC Appliance helps service providers deploy high-speed data, VoIP, and video bundles quickly and efficiently.

Now local community operators can deliver individualized, triple-play broadband services with fast turnaround and minimal expenditure. The appliance automatically brings customer premise equipment (CPE) online according to the operator’s pre-set rules and dynamically configures CPE based on each subscriber’s unique selection of services.

Supported CPE devices include: cable modems, residential gateways, and SIP or PacketCable multimedia terminal adapters (MTAs) and IPTV set top boxes. Before granting network access, the appliance can confirm the subscriber’s billing and service options through an existing customer service system.

To further reduce costs for operators without specialized triple-play or provisioning expertise, the software is pre-installed on servers, creating a virtually plug-and-play solution.

“We want to open up the market to more operators, making it easy and affordable to offer triple-play services,” comments Patricia Steadman, CEO of Incognito Software.

“Service providers that offer triple-play bundles have the lowest customer churn rates, and automated provisioning systems can save them as much as 20% in subscriber activation costs by minimizing truck rolls and manual administration.”
