Terrible service is all I can say. I have ongoing issues where Aplus locks out users with a message maximum connections exceeded. They always ask for a screen shot to prove I have the message. Over 1 year this has plague me and my customers and they have done nothing to fix it. Recently I used the control panel to backup my database. It failed. The follow-up to the support ticket was go use MSSQL Manager... why not fi the broken control panel. They change things constantly which causes me to changes my software, each time experiencing an outage with my customer.
My e-mail server has been down for 24 hours now without any notification, phone call, etc. They do not have a phone number to call. My support tickets have been ignored. Very disappointed.
Very good hoster. I pay 8.20$(7$/month - 10% discount + 2$ for Dedicated IP for SSL) per month for a Flatrate tariff with SSL and the performance is great. Though sometimes the serer is not responding that fast, but that is the absolute minority of the time. I really like the Bandwidth and Webspace flatrate!
If you want to use SSL i recommend StartCom SSL, because the Level1 Cert is Free.
Very good value for the money. Ping from the server to me in germany is ~120, which is a very good ping time. But i recommend disableing the SpamAssassin if you plan to pipe mails to a script.
The support all in all is good. I only had one case where the supporter was not that of a help.
All in all: If you search a cheap, reliable and powerful hoster, then Arvixe is the way to go!
Don't waste your time. Horrible company that seems to cut corners in order to make as much money off you as they can. The support guys that worked in the data center were hit and miss. some were helpful and knowledgable while the rest would have difficulty telling you how to restart a computer. The management that I dealt with were at times equally as unknowledgable and useless.
