SingleHop releases SSL Virtual Private Network, running on Array Networks’ VPN Appliance

10:14:25 - 22 April 2009

Chicago, IL: April 22, 2009: Taking into account the unrelenting demand for additional performance, control and security, SingleHop today announced the release of a SSL Virtual Private Network offering. The SSL-VPN solution allows for clients to control servers through a secure access point by connecting to the SingleHop Private Network, released last week.

The new SingleHop SSL-VPN offers tremendous levels of security and flexibility through:
Array Networks’ SPX Series, which offers best in class access control.
Hardware accelerated sessions.
Network access through Thin-Client session.
Session monitoring, with paper trail for all activities and IP’s.
Limiting server access through the secure back-end SSL-VPN only.
Providing split-tunnel, Layer 3 mechanism to allow simultaneous connections without sacrificing security.

Using the Private Network that SingleHop released last week, customers can access servers through a secondary network without using any public network bandwidth. The SSL-VPN builds on this new offering by allowing a remote access point into the secondary private network, through a two-factor authenticated Virtual Private Network. According to Andy Pace, SingleHop VP of Operations, “we chose to use Array Networks' SPX?Series gateway because it allowed us the most robust management capabilities. We know that clients are always looking for ways to do more, faster and, unfortunately, for our times, do it safer. Our partnership with Array Networks allows us to provide all these benefits to our clients without any sacrifices.”

The Private Network that SingleHop released last week, allowed clients unprecedented control over their servers, at speeds as fast as 1Gbps. Customers can now perform backup, server synchronization, and miscellaneous inter-server communication at amazing speeds without using their metered bandwidth. The new SSL-VPN solution, builds on the Private Network features through a wide array of security checks and services.
