Both pages show enhancements in design and functionality, and are rolled into Beta versions starting yesterday. The new technology achievements with allow Yahoo users to store and share their favorite links and information in folders.

"The Yahoo! Front Page and My Yahoo!, the most popular start pages on the Internet, just got better so that it is even easier for consumers to start the tasks they want and get them done the way they need," said Geoff Ralston, chief product officer, Yahoo! Inc.

By adding personalization to its Front Page, Yahoo makes the user experience more beneficial to the knowledge and information provided on the Internet. The search engine giant's goals are to provide more essential information at a glance, allowing the users to quickly and efficiently accomplish a task.

Personalized editable links will allow the Yahoo! users one-click access to the products and services they use most. Content for entertainment, local weather and the Buzz Log, will be continually updated to keep the page interesting and engaging throughout the day. The enhancements include new service indexing and improved search box design with more search suggestion tabs included for better search results.

The distribution of My Yahoo!, a service supporting open content syndication standards such as Really Simple Syndication (RSS) and Atom enables users to find information from more updated sources and breaks the traditional news distribution. My Yahoo popularity is growing with providing a virtual access to permanently updated database of sites with improved information capabilities.

Exploring RSS technology, the search engine is aimed through the newly launched page to both help and educate consumers about the benefits of RSS and related technologies.

My Yahoo! will allow users to find and add content to their accounts. My Yahoo! modules can be customized by users' personal style to match users color choices and information needs.

By leveraging Yahoo! Search technology and the thousands of sources available via Yahoo! News, users can now create custom modules based on a topic of interest. Expanding into mobility will give the Yahoo! users direct connectivity and accessibility to information whenever the users are.
