Kintone Transitions To Amazon Web Services To Scale Up Its Product Portfolio, Ecosystem, And Corporate Growth

Migrating Kintone’s users to Amazon Web Services results in faster performance, scalability, and paves the way for additional innovation

SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB)September 16, 2019 - Kintone, the teamwork platform with a visual application builder that empowers organizations to manage their data and workflows for better collaboration, is transitioning to Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate innovation of its core product. Effective immediately, all new Kintone customers will be deployed on AWS, while existing Kintone installations will be migrated over the next few months.

By selecting AWS as its preferred cloud provider, Kintone can boost the performance of its core platform and can swiftly add compelling product enhancements. Similarly, AWS will allow Kintone’s development team to more easily implement important security and compliance features required by enterprise customers. Most of all, AWS helps to position Kintone for rapid growth — Kintone expects to grow sales by a factor of three over the next three years.

“Kintone has seen dramatic growth over the last year, and it’s clear that we need a cloud provider with immense scalability that can offer a roadmap to address our technical needs. AWS checked both those boxes,” said Dave Landa, CEO of Kintone.

Kintone’s move to AWS will deliver some important benefits to the development team, resulting in instant enhancements for Kintone’s 12,000+ customers around the world.

1. Accelerated innovation

  • Broader adoption of agile methodology and continuous deployment.
  • Positions Kintone to focus on strategic development priorities.

2. Product enhancements

  • Instant performance boost—particularly responsiveness with large datasets.
  • Improved search performance and capabilities.
  • Two-factor authentication can be offered to all customers.
  • Provides new UI and processes for customers to use the Kintone store.

3. Infrastructure, compliance, and scalability

  • Resilience through deployment of all Kintone instances in the cloud, rather than in private locations.
  • Ability to fast-track HIPAA, FedRamp, and other compliance mandates.
  • Scalability for the Kintone ecosystem; Kintone partners can also build scalable solutions on AWS.
  • Meets all conceivable customer needs for growth and expansion.

“This is a bold move and shows our commitment to further accelerate our growth as a new generation of teamwork platform. It exemplifies that we can meet and exceed our customers’ expectations for high performance and rapid innovation,” added Landa.
