Wiwynn Exhibits Latest Cloud IT Infrastructure Technologies At OCP Global Summit 2019

13:50:38 - 13 March 2019

Open source hardware and advanced cooling technologies for best TCO

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wiwynn®, an innovative cloud IT infrastructure provider for data centers, today announced its participation at OCP Global Summit 2019, March 14-15. Wiwynn will showcase the latest server, storage and cooling technologies to address the demand of computing performance, power efficiency and advanced cooling technologies in next-generation data centers.

“OCP Global Summit is one of the most important technology events for cloud data center industry,” said Emily Hong, CEO and President at Wiwynn. “We are excited to participate with world leading cloud service providers, data centers operators, chipset and system vendors to showcase our latest open hardware products as well as advanced power and cooling solutions. We will also host seven speeches and engineering workshops to present our technology development results and explore innovative ideas with industry experts.”

Leveraging Wiwynn’s expertise in high efficiency and reliable open source hardware, including OCP and Project Olympus, Wiwynn expands product line for EIA19” rack with OCP design principle inspired SV302G3 (1U2N server) and SV500G3 (4U 8 GPU server). Both are front-accessible with tool-less maintenance. SV500G3 integrates field proven Project Olympus server board and eight PCIe-based accelerators for AI and deep learning. SV302G3, on the other hand, adopts building block concept, using universal enclosure, modularized nodes and commodity to provide high agility for logistic management to cloud service providers.

In addition, Wiwynn adds the Linkedin-led Open19 Project server—SV6100G3 into its portfolio. By using the cross-industry common form factor applicable to EIA 19” racks, SV6100G3 provides an efficient, reliable data center and edge computing solution for operators of any scale.

For high capacity and low latency data access demands, Wiwynn will showcase the Project Olympus based high-density 1U NVMe storage system—ST5100 utilizing EDSFF (Enterprise & Datacenter SSD Form Factor) SSD. Supply chain partners including Intel, LITE-ON, and Samsung also echo the increasing demand and will display their EDSFF SSDs at Wiwynn booth.

To enable data center operators to build their own agile, efficient, software-defined data centers to meet dynamic workload changes, Wiwynn offers Wiwynn® Cluster Manager with NVMe over Fabric (NVMeoF) based on Intel® Rack Scale Design (Intel® RSD). By working with ecosystem partners, Wiwynn now offers proof-of-concept (POC) sites in USA, Japan, the Czech Republic and Taiwan for customers to evaluate. Wiwynn will elaborate the system features and working flow by connecting to POC site remotely as well.

Power and cooling technologies are key factors in the total cost of ownership (TCO) in data centers. Wiwynn will also demonstrate the advanced two-phase immersion cooling tank with OCP servers for lower PUE with higher compute density. Together with Wiwynn’s 48V technology and power pooling, it provides even higher power efficiency and optimizes energy utilization.

Welcome to visit Wiwynn at the San Jose Convention Center, booth #A12, to explore the opportunities for what’s next in the cloud world.
