EUKhost Celebrates 13th Anniversary

 Leeds, United Kingdom, November 19th2014 – eUKhost Ltd., a leading provider of web hosting in the UK is celebrating its 13thbirthday.

 eUKhost was originally established under the Hosting Brand in 2001 with the mission “to provide advanced web hosting technologies backed by true customer care.”  Having started with just 4 shared web hosting plans in 2001, eUKhost’s service portfolio has grown and adapted over the past 13 years to include products under 5 different categories and catering for businesses of all sizes.

The first development of eUKhost’s product line took place in 2001 with the introduction of reseller web hosting plans. This marked a huge moment for eUKhost as founder and MD Robert King remarks “the introduction of reseller hosting was our first product targeted at SMEs and was the basis of our development over the following  years.”

 True 24x7 billing and technical live chat support was introduced in late 2004, with eUKhost being one of the first web hosting companies in the world to offer such a facility. Mr. King mentions “the introduction of 24x7 supports reaffirmed our commitment to provide true customer care seeing us one of the first hosting providers in the world providing true live 24x7x365 technical and billing chat support.”  Dedicated servers were introduced in 2005 as the first foray into services targeted specifically at larger enterprises.  Dedicated servers were also the first fully customisable product offered, as clients were able to fully adapt the specifications of their server during the order process to match their required specification.

 The launch of the eUKhost forums in 2005 signaled a new era. They provide an arena in which customers can interact with one another and provide feedback and within 2 years became the most popular web hosting forums in the UK.  The forums were accompanied by the introduction of the eUKhost blog; this is a popular publication that has grown to consist of over 3,000 hugely informative articles.

 Cloud hosting was introduced by eUKhost in 2009 with Windows virtual machine packages on the new and revolutionary Hyper-V platform. The enterprise cloud services line up was completed in 2010 with the introduction of VMWare cloud hosting for mission critical applications that boasted an uptime SLA of 100%. eUKhost’s cloud product line was further strengthened in 2010 with the launch of the proprietary eNlight on-demand platform, which gives clients the assurance of a 100% uptime SLA and virtually limitless resources.

 A range of improvements to the customer experience have also taken place, with the introduction of a new billing area in 2013, followed by a new, fully responsive website in 2014 so that customers are able to interact with the website no matter what device they are using.

 2014 has also seen the exciting launch of a new free SMS billing notification system designed to keep customers informed on the move. “With our new SMS notification system it gives our clients the option to be notified about important billing-related messages on the move” Robert King explains, he adds that “enabling our customers to stay on top of expiring domains, password changes and invoices prevents service interruption that could lead to lost business.”

Alongside the launch of SMS notifications saw the hugely featured server monitoring service, enabling in depth analysis and full uptime, ping, port and many more reports. The basic package is free to all customers as per terms; business and enterprise packages are available to obtain more crucial details with full SMS alerts.
