Blacknight Selects Parallels Linux Shared Hosting NG For High Density Hosting

DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Parallels, the platform provider for cloud service delivery and Blacknight Solutions, Ireland’s largest web hosting and domain registrar, announced the expansion of Blacknight’s Parallels Automation platform with the Linux Shared Hosting Next Generation module (Shared Hosting NG). Blacknight is using Shared Hosting NG to improve the quality and security of its shared hosting services through higher performance and site isolation, which protects against website disruption. Moreover, the module delivers a significant increase in revenue per square meter of data center space by enabling high density hosting of up to 15,000 websites per server.

The Shared Hosting NG module gives Blacknight the flexibility to support multiple versions of the PHP web development scripting language. This is crucial for the company in solving one of its customers’ key pain points – the fact that many modern website Content Management Systems require regular updates to the very latest PHP version.
