Catbird Study Reveals That Private Cloud Security Keeps IT Up At Night

10:20:54 - 12 September 2014

A survey among IT professionals identifies the primary security concerns in cloud-based data management.

(PRWEB) September 12, 2014 - An infographic published by Catbird presents a study conducted among IT professionals to discover what they considered to be the overarching challenges regarding virtual infrastructure and private cloud management.

The document illustrates the surprising findings when Catbird surveyed 136 IT professionals across a range of industries. 80 percent of the respondents said that security was their central concern in private cloud deployment, yet only 55 percent had plans to implement continuous monitoring of private cloud systems. Additionally, of the 57 percent that had not yet deployed a virtual firewall or other virtualized controls, only 12 respondents planned to upgrade their security in the next 12 months.

Catbird delivers policy-based virtual security that includes asset discovery, micro-segmentation and continuous monitoring so you can know what’s running in your cloud or virtual data center, apply protection to individual virtual machines, and monitor and enforce your policies in real time.
