WiredTree Announces Upgrades To Dedicated Server Product Line

03:08:31 - 03 October 2011

Managed dedicated server provider WiredTree offers new and improved range of CPU and storage options.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 03, 2011 - WiredTree, a specialist in managed dedicated server hosting, managed virtual private server (VPS) hosting, and managed hybrid servers, announced today a range of impressive new hardware upgrades to the company’s dedicated server offering. These new upgrades dramatically improve the power and reliability of hardware, guaranteeing that customers can configure the managed server solution that meets their individual needs.

“This is a comprehensive update to our entire dedicated server hosting range,” says Zac Cogswell, President of WiredTree. “Our intention was to examine every element of our dedicated server hardware and identify the areas where new technology, only recently made available, could further improve the service we offer. The new components that we now offer include improvements to CPU and storage, as well as service options such as R1Soft CDP backups. We are confident that, together, these new features make our managed dedicated server solutions better than ever.”

Managed dedicated hosting plans from WiredTree are enjoyed by customers who need a great deal of processing power, consistent server reliability, and a secure place to store sensitive and mission critical data. WiredTree regularly upgrades and updates their hardware selection, enabling customers to scale up their existing accounts to new specification as well as attracting new customers who require a truly state-of-the-art solution. Now, customers can choose from a selection of the latest CPUs, including the E3-1230 and E3-1270 ‘Sandy Bridge’ series Intel processors. For customers requiring a Dual Xeon server, WiredTree can now deploy servers with the latest Westmere Xeon CPUs and dual hex-core Intel processors with 12 CPU cores for incredible speed and processing power.

“With a dedicated server hosting plan, customers are looking for the fastest processors in the industry,” says Cogswell. “This guarantees a highly responsive service at all times, regardless of the stress on the server as a result of increased traffic volumes. Our new CPUs are among the best that are currently available on the market and this is an area that we remain focused on when we look at any plan and update our server options. Of course, as a business grows to require such powerful processors, they are sure to need a storage solution on a similar scale. That is why we have also looked at storage as the other key area for this update.”

WiredTree managed dedicated servers are configurable with lightning-fast solid state drives (SSD) in addition to more conventional hard disk drives (HDD/HD) for larger quantities of data. In terms of SSD options, WiredTree now offers Intel’s 320 SSD line, and also has plans to provide the Intel 7XX series as soon as the hardware is released. These solid-state solutions ensure that customers using the fastest of CPUs have a storage solution that can take advantage of the overall server speed. For larger quantities of data, customers can also use conventional hard disks. Customers can choose Western Digital Caviar Black or RAID Edition 4 (RE4) hard disks, as well as 6-series Adaptec RAID cards for when redundant data storage is required.

“Overall, we are very satisfied with this range of updates to our managed dedicated server hardware and we are confident that customers will feel the same way,” says Cogswell. “We’ve taken a comprehensive attitude to this process and even gone so far as to complement the new hardware options with software including R1Soft CDP backups. Together, this large array of improvements will help us provide more flexibility for existing customers and new customers alike.”

Since 2006, WiredTree has grown to become a leading figure in the managed dedicated server hosting industry, thanks to dependable, high-performance hardware offered on quality SuperMicro motherboards and chassis. Now, with these new updates to an already impressive service range, the company is set to continue its impressive growth as it moves forward.
