Liquid Web Releases New Intel Clovertown Servers – 8 Cores!
Liquid Web has added the newest intel server line, CloverTown, to its Enterprise product offering.
Lansing, MI: Hosting Provider and Data Center operator, Liquid Web Inc, has implemented solutions utilizing Intel's latest CPU technology, Clovertown. The new Intel Clovertown Series has been added to the Liquid Web Enterprise product line and has an introductory price point of $409 per month.
Clovertown is built using Intel's 65-nanometer manufacturing process, offer 1.5 times the performance of the current dual-core offerings, and four times the performance of the single-core Xeons according to Intel. Liquid Web’s Clovertown Servers are designed with 2 quad core processors for a total of 8 processing cores!
“Quad-core processors contain four processing cores, residing on one chip, that perform calculations on four streams of data on each chip, thereby significantly increasing efficiency and speed in server based environments.
