00:00:00 - 17 August 2004

August 17, 2004 - (HostReview.com) - Inflow-Nashville, a leading provider of outsourced technology services, was pleased to announce the addition of new customer HealthSpring, the largest independent managed care organization in Middle Tennessee, serving over 190,000 commercial and 28,000 Medicare Members. HealthSpring contracts with the federal government and operates as a Medicare Advantage organization, providing area Medicare beneficiaries an alternative to original Medicare.

In 2003, HealthSpring recognized their business was moving from 12-hour, Monday through Friday operations to a 24 x 7 operations model. The company also needed to obtain real-time access to their critical data, to provide constituent accessibility on demand.

HealthSpring's Information Technology efforts ultimately led them to consider outsourcing. Topping the list of outsourcing provider criteria were cost, reputation to deliver based on reference interviews, and strategic vision. After an in-depth evaluation process, HealthSpring chose Inflow to provide hosting services for HealthSpring's Linux-based web application, managed security services, and business continuance consulting.

"It is imperative that our Information Services department provide an environment that is reliable, scalable and is agile enough to meet changing business opportunities without impeding the growth of the company," said Tim Riley, CIO of HealthSpring. "Inflow helps us to achieve this and their staff has gone above and beyond to provide prompt and courteous service."

"HealthSpring is growing incredibly quickly and has to deal with all the complexities of today's healthcare market. We're glad to know our services and operations methodology will help them achieve their objectives," said David Klements, Inflow-Nashville General Manager.

Nashville-based HealthSpring is the largest independent managed care organization in Middle Tennessee, serving over 190,000 commercial and 28,000 Medicare members. HealthSpring contracts with the federal government and operates as a Medicare Advantage organization, providing many benefits not offered through original Medicare.
