ServerVault Appoints Industry Veteran John Kraft as President, CEO

00:00:00 - 10 July 2003

DULLES, Va., Jul 9, 2003 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- ServerVault, the top-ranked secure, managed hosting provider as reported by Meta Group and Tier One Research, announced today the recent appointment of president and chief executive officer John F. Kraft.

Mr. Kraft brings a wealth of leadership experience to ServerVault, with more than 20 years of general management, operations, sales and marketing experience. He offers extensive experience providing world-class technology and business solutions to the world's largest and most demanding organizations.

From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Kraft served as president and chief operating officer of PSINet US. During his tenure as president, Mr. Kraft was responsible for the Internet connectivity services, Web hosting and professional services divisions. He joined PSINet in 1996 as founder and general manager of the carrier and ISP services division.

In less than four years, he grew the division from zero to $100 million in annual revenues. Mr. Kraft came to PSINet from MCI Communications, where he served in several executive positions from 1986 to 1996. Prior to that, he worked for IBM's satellite business systems division in key sales and management roles.

"As the demand for secure hosting solutions accelerates and the Web hosting industry consolidates, I am extremely energized to join a company that is already recognized as a leader in secure, managed Web hosting," Mr. Kraft said. "With solid financial backing, together with product leadership, valued customers and dedicated employees, ServerVault has the core ingredients for great success. My main challenge will be to build a robust marketing and sales program, and to reinforce the superior and efficient operations and customer service teams that deliver world-class solutions based on our industry leading secure hosting technology and services."

"We are extremely pleased with the appointment of John Kraft as the new CEO of ServerVault," ServerVault board member Steve Baker said. "John brings a broad base of management and industry experience to the position and is ideally suited to successfully lead ServerVault through its many exciting opportunities. In addition, he has had a well-demonstrated record of profitably developing and selling a broad range of communications and technology products and services."

For four years, ServerVault has been providing secure Web hosting services to government, defense, financial, information technology and healthcare organizations. It is one of the few commercial companies certified as a highly secure, SCIF (Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility)-compliant data center. Coupled with skilled and certified security professionals, ServerVault's reputation for hosting secure applications and Web sites remains unequalled in the hosting industry.
