EUKhost: A Level Of Customer Support Service You Could Not Get From Other Web Hosting Companies

2023-01-19

An Exclusive Interview with Robert King, Founder & Managing Director, eUKhost, talking about the company's focus on customer support and the recent release of a fully automated solution for businesses that moved their customer service to a whole new level.

The company has just been named one of the Most Innovative Web Hosting Companies for 2023 by HostReview.

The vision

eUKhost was founded in 2001 with customers at its heart. The mission was to provide website hosting and domain registration at an affordable price backed by world-class technical support.

Since then, the company has invested in a wide portfolio of tools that allowed its customers to grow, from cyber security to marketing tools.

As of today, the company has a top-class portal to allow customers to do anything from check invoices to restart servers and still provides 24/7 live chat with an average wait time of just 38 seconds.

Customer support is the heart of eUKhost

eUKhost clearly focuses on customer support and offers a level of service you could not get from other web hosting companies. Not to mention that they were one of the first web hosting companies in Europe to offer 24/7 live technical support.

Recently, their customer service moved to a whole new level with the introduction of a fully automated solution for businesses.

The Hyperslice© platform gives customers the same features they would get with any big tech company, from disaster recovery to automation, but with 4.9/5 star support and 38-second average live chat pick-up from their technical support.

“Our customers can start a server, restart a server, rebuild a server, expand a server… basically everything you can do with big tech platforms,” says Robert King, the founder of eUKhost.

The approach that has transformed the way eUKhost progress

eUKhost is part of The Hyperslice Group, which caters to everyone from small businesses to large international organisations, offering everything from shared hosting to advanced cloud solutions.

What makes The Hyperslice Group different is that their expertise is shared across all three companies under the ambarella, so whether you are with eUKhost, Webhosting UK, or Hyperslice, you are guaranteed the same exceptional service and know-how. What’s more, as your organisation grows, The Hyperslice Group has everything you need to help you succeed.

Biggest achievements of eUKhost

- Being an independently owned UK business providing services for over 21 years.

- Maintaining since day one average live chat pick up under 40 seconds

- Launching Hyperslice platform to provide fast-performing automated hosting, virtualization, and security.

The future

The company plans to expand its presence worldwide to provide content delivery at a localized level to increase speed, lower costs and reduce emissions.

Before the energy crisis came around, they were looking to invest £5 million into a fully sustainable energy data center in Northern UK. But they had to put the project on hold because they didn’t want to keep passing the cost to their customers.

Out of all the business challenges, this energy crisis has been one of the worst for the web hosting industry, if not the worst.

A Visionary Leader at the front of the web hosting industry

The company is headed by its founder - Robert King, managing director.

Robert started his business journey as a 13-year-old schoolboy in Durham, building websites offering free ringtones in the days of Crazy Frog and Nokia mobiles.

Running several websites himself helped him realise he could also sell web hosting services to people – so he used his birthday money to get a reseller account.

Robert registered eUKhost as a limited company when he was 18. Today eUKhost and Webhosting UK, which they acquired in 2008, have more than 35,000 customers with 150,000+ registered domains – but he had no plan for success back then. It just felt right for him.

Advice to future leaders who want to make it big in the market

The fear of failing often drove down enjoyment and slowed innovation, whether it was the company website needing to look better, marketing campaigns not performing, or unworkable infrastructure requirements.

By realizing quickly that failures are part of a business (& life) and that it just shows you are moving forward and can learn from, the excitement quickly returned, and now rather than a failure, the company sees it as a teacher and moving forward.
