Cirrus Tech offers Database Backup and Restore Capability on all Shared Hosting PlansSeptember 23, 2008; 05:18 AM
Toronto, ON – Sept 22, 2008 With the release of Plesk 8.6 on Cirrus Tech’s Shared Web Hosting Plans, clients have the capability to easily create a backup of their databases directly from their control panel. In previous versions of Plesk, clients had the ability to create a complete backup of their entire web hosting plan, but were limited in their ability to pick and choose what they wanted to backup. Now, clients can choose to simply create a backup of just their database and restore it when necessary without having to restore their entire hosting plan. Backups are created from the Plesk control panel and are stored on the client’s local computer. They can make as many database backups as they choose, and select which backup they want to restore. Clients still have the option to create an entire backup of their hosting plan as well. “It’s often the case that clients just want to create a backup of their databases,” says Mani Aminian, Sales Manager at Cirrus Tech. “By being able to do just that, clients can benefit because they will be able to reduce their bandwidth consumption and time spent creating backups.” The database backup feature is included in Plesk 8.6, which is available on all Cirrus Tech Windows and Linux shared web hosting and reseller hosting plans. The latest version of the Plesk Control Panel offers new features while continuing to deliver the highest levels of stability and performance. About
