Verio Adds Email Compliance to its Product SuiteNovember 21, 2008; 06:17 AM
CENTENNIAL, Colo., November 20, 2008 – Verio, a leading provider of business solutions online, including hosting, applications and managed services, today announced the launch of a comprehensive email compliance services package to help small and medium-sized enterprises manage risk and maintain compliance regarding federal regulations impacting corporate messaging policies.
Companies of all sizes are under increased pressure to effectively manage the lifecycle of corporate email and federal regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) are making it mandatory for companies to comply with stringent policies and guidelines. Verio is assisting customers in addressing these requirements by delivering the following core compliance solutions as part of its Microsoft® Hosted Exchange offering:
Compliant Email Archiving This solution preserves company email at a secure off-site location where it can be retrieved when needed. Email archiving ensures organizations maintain compliance with regulations mandated by the SEC, NASD, Sarbanes-Oxley and more.
MessageMirror™ Email Content Scanning & Monitoring MessageMirror™ allows users to monitor in- and outbound email to scan messages and ensure protected information from leaving the organization. It maintains the details of every email including who sent an email and who received it and provides companies with peace of mind that proprietary information, trade secrets or protected health information is not being shared inappropriately outside of the organization. It can also assist with enforcing corporate governance policies and increasing employee productivity.
Company Legal Disclaimer
This solution allows managers to add a standardized disclaimer statement to the bottom of every email employees distribute and it cannot be edited or removed. It also addresses the need for companies to minimize risks by automating the enforcement of a company-wide email policy.
“In an era of increased government compliance and regulation, email is naturally being scrutinized and we are confident these new solutions will assist our small and medium-sized enterprise customers in effectively managing their corporate messaging policies,” said Toshiyuki Yamasaki, SVP, Global Development and Products at Verio.
Customers utilizing Verio’s email compliance offerings will benefit from features including:
