London – October 9, 2008 – Attenda Limited, the Always On Managed Services company, today announced that RCI Financial Services Limited has signed a three year hosting contract with Attenda for the operational management and support of their critical Point of Sale (POS) system.

RCI Financial Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault S.A. The POS system is accessed by 500 dealers via the web and supports the financial services offered by Renault and Nissan in the UK. RCI Financial Services prides itself in offering the quality of service that its customers expect from a specialist motor manufacturer finance company.

The Attenda Managed Services contract reflects the high customer service levels that are the foundation of RCI Financial Services’ reputation in the marketplace, ensuring that the Internet facing POS applications are available, secure and meeting the business needs 24*7.

The Attenda solution was designed and deployed within very short timescales, comprising separate production, back up and disaster recovery environments within Attenda data centres in the UK and Germany. Attenda worked with advance7, an independent consultancy specialising in IT performance and stability, who were appointed by RCI Financial Services, to carry out load testing of the POS application, prior to the production system go-live.

Commenting on the contract, Chris Hazlehurst, IT Director, RCI Financial Services, says “Our timescales were extremely tight and, therefore, it was vital that we eliminated all possible risk from the project.”

Hazlehurst continues, “Attenda were highly responsive to our needs and we were confident that their proven capability in the rapid deployment and operational management of business critical applications would minimise the risk.”
