KVM also provides customers the ability to retain complete management and control of their servers at the console level to simplify troubleshooting for their systems. The Planet uses the Lantronix SecureLinx Spider KVM solution. “Our customers are technically sophisticated, so having unfettered access and control at the console gives them the peace of mind they require when they have critical applications in a hosted model,” said Director of Product Management Urvish Vashi. “The Planet has established a leadership position in the hosting market, and one of our priorities is to empower customers with the technologies they require. Previously we provided KVM only to our elite private rack customers. Today, every customer now has these capabilities, even if they are hosting a single server.” The company also announced KVM pricing of $30 per month. Through Jan. 31, 2008, the company is reducing setup fees to $50, down from planned set-up pricing of $100.
