Peak 10 Raleigh Announces Major Expansion

Additional 42,000 Square Feet Cements Peak 10 as Regional Data Center Leader

April 26, 2007; 12:39 AM

RALEIGH, GREENSBORO, and CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Peak 10, Inc., the leading independent data center operator and managed services company, today announced a major addition of 42,000 square feet of space at its Raleigh, N.C. data center. The expansion will bring the total size of Peak 10 Raleigh to approximately 70,000 square feet, making the world-class facility one of the largest data centers in the region and the largest in the Peak 10 family.

“This expansion is part of our plan to continue investing in our customers’ growth by providing the right data center capacity and services.  It’s the culmination of an intensive nine month planning process for a long-term investment in a solid growth market,” said David H. Jones, president and chief executive officer of Peak 10. According to Jones, the expansion will be Peak 10’s fourth in an existing market and is part of a plan to add over 150,000 additional square feet of growth capacity in 2007.

This announcement comes on the heels of Peak 10’s February 2007 acquisition of bayMountain, a Richmond, Va.-based data center company.  Peak 10 now owns and operates ten data centers in seven key markets and boasts one of the industry’s most diverse product and managed services portfolios as well as the strongest balance sheet in the business.

The additional square footage in Raleigh will provide Peak 10 with the ability to support its existing and new customer growth. Raleigh customers include such companies as Global Knowledge, Pergo and SchoolDude.com.

“We have one of the highest customer retention and referral rates in the industry,” Greg Rollet, Peak 10 Raleigh vice president and general manager, said. “This expansion enhances our ability to support additional options related to power infrastructure, design-build for customers, and disaster recovery services for both personnel and servers as well as the continued availability of raised floor growth.”

According to Rollet, Peak 10 customers are becoming more global with their service offerings, and the increasingly critical nature of their technology infrastructure is driving demand. The company’s data center facilities are engineered with multiple levels of security, uninterruptible power, and redundant HVAC systems. They are managed 24x7 by highly skilled technical personnel, with each data center interconnected by a high-performance, fully redundant private network. This secure network gives Peak 10 an advantage over single-site providers, and offers a unique network solution unmatched by competitors.

Jones said Peak 10’s continued growth is directly attributable to its intentional focus on enhancing the customer experience; a veteran leadership team; focus on growth markets and strong trends in IT outsourcing; a strong cash flow and balance sheet to support planned growth; and a continuing aggressive approach to scaling its service, support and systems.

“Our strategic, planned growth in space and service offerings gives our customers the personal relationship of a small company and the resources of a large organization,” Jones said. He added that Peak 10 is continuing to position itself for strategic, sensible growth to deliver the highest standard of infrastructure, security and performance to small, medium and large businesses throughout the United States.
