Tiscali International Network (TINet) has selected tel(x)’s interconnection facility at 60 Hudson Street in New York City in order to expand its network presence within the United States. TINet’s expansion is in response to the increasing demand for its wholesale IP Transit, MPLS and Voice offerings for the North American market.
TINet offers IP Transit, MPLS lines and Voice Termination services to major service providers in the United States, Hong Kong and 17 European countries. TINet has an extensive network of over 90 IP/MPLS PoPs and prides itself in providing exclusively wholesale services to regions with significant and growing bandwidth requirements. It is also one of the few companies in Europe to have a "next generation Internet" network in actual production.
tel(x)’s New York City facility at 60 Hudson Street boasts one of the largest customer lists in the nation, making it an ideal, tried and tested location for expanding companies like TINet. tel(x)’s recent acquisition of 11 new Meet Me Room facilities across the United States presents additional opportunities for TINet’s planned expansion.
“We chose tel(x) because of the high quality and reliability of the colocation services they provide as well as for the opportunities tel(x) offers to interconnect with important players and key customers across the USA,” said Paolo Gambini, Marketing and Business Development Director of TINet. “Our Point of Presence in the tel(x) facility is part of the expansion of the TINet network in the USA, as well as in China and Eastern Europe.”
“tel(x) is very pleased to have Tiscali International join our expanding marketplace. They bring their expertise and stellar reputation to the facility and add very reliable network services for the other members of the community to access. We look forward to working together and assisting them in meeting their US growth targets.” stated Hunter Newby, tel(x) Chief Strategy Officer.
