SingleHop to Sponsor TECH Cocktail 3

Chicago, IL - SingleHop, Inc., a Chicago-based managed dedicated server provider, is once again the major sponsor of TECH cocktail 3, the increasingly popular social networking event for the Chicago area technology community. A quarterly event now being held for the third time, TECH cocktail 3 will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2007, from 6:30pm - 9pm at Amira, located at the base of the NBC Tower, 455 N. Cityfront Plaza in downtown Chicago.

“We’re excited to be a major sponsor of TECH cocktail,” says Zak Boca, founder and CEO of SingleHop. “It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, learn about new businesses, or simply catch up with old friends and acquaintances and share war stories.”

“Plus, we will have an open bar for this event where we’ll be serving green apple martinis from two giant ice sculptures shaped in the form of our frog Poindexter, SingleHop’s mascot.”

According to Boca, TECH cocktail 2 was attended by approximately 300 people. For this quarter he expects about 400-500 people to show. “Word has spread that TECH cocktail is the hot ticket in town, so now we hear people from San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and even Austin, Texas, are going to fly in just for this party,” adds Boca.

“Not every city has the feel of community like you might see in other technology rich communities like Silicon Valley or Boston,” says Eric Olson, host of TECH cocktail 3. “TECH cocktail hopes to help remedy the situation by creating a place for bloggers, technologists, entrepreneurs and other business professionals to meet, share ideas and have some fun.”
