GNi Relocates Sun Microsystems to New Hosting Facilities

November 15, 2006; 08:44 AM

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Global Netoptex, Inc. (GNi), a leading provider of customer-centric managed services, today announced it has completed relocating Sun Microsystems’(SM) 250 servers and switches from its hosting facilities in San Jose to new facilities at 365 Main in San Francisco.

GNi did an excellent job, said Chris Bleasby, operations manager for Sun Dot Com Engineering. They transported and set up all our servers, putting them in the correct locations ready for the Sun engineers to reconnect. I expect our vendors to be professional, fast, efficient, and available when we need them. GNi is all that and more.

GNi also operates the NOC (network operations center), offering onsite services at 365 Main. This is extremely convenient, Bleasby continued, because it eliminates the need for one of our people driving to and from San Francisco for every problem. If we need GNi to check something inside a cage, their professionals take care of it.

GNis customer-centric approach provides a single point of contact for all services including managed services, internet security, cabinets, cabling, subcabinets, load balancers and 24x7 onsite tech support for its SAN storage services. The managed services provider also guarantees 99.999 percent network availability through its Service Level Agreements.
