September 27, 2006; 02:11 AM Advenix, Inc. announced today the debut of VisualSubject, a new email technology that
enables email from trusted marketers to contain customized graphical
previews that complement the message subject line. Everyone.net,
provider of private-label email hosting services across more than
300,000 domains, was the first to integrate this new technology.
By displaying a concise sender-customized graphic whenever a user moves
the cursor over an icon adjacent to the email, newsletter subscribers
no longer have to guess the content of an email from a 10-word subject
line. The display of the graphic is completely controlled by the user,
thus enhancing their email experience.
Justin Khoo, President of Advenix, said, "Marketers are often stymied
by the limitation of a 10 word email subject line to introduce their
message to the customer - especially if the message is promoting
something that is visual. With VisualSubject, for example, a picture of
a featured product can be displayed in the VisualSubject graphic."
The announcement follows a six-month trial of the technology using
Everyone.net’s hosted email service targeted towards publishers and web
portals. “We were impressed by Advenix’s VisualSubject technology. It
is clear that VisualSubject improves response rates while enhancing the
users’ experience,” said Raymond Chan, Executive Vice President of
Everyone.net.
VisualSubject benefits both consumers and marketers
A significant number of consumers subscribe to email newsletters and
promotions from companies such as online stores, apparel retailers and
video stores. Many of these messages are ignored or deleted by
time-strapped consumers because the subject lines fail to convey the
essence of the message and capture interest. VisualSubject offers a
solution to this difficulty by allowing consumers to quickly, visually,
and intuitively scan emails from their favorite retailers.

vehicle. VisualSubject is available only for permission-based mailings,
providing added discrimination from unsolicited and untargeted email or
spam.
Availability
Advenix is currently in talks with portals and ISPs to make
VisualSubject available to a broader range of consumers. Advenix is
also in the process of working with email accreditation and reputation
companies to qualify and approve senders who want to use the
technology.
