ModernGigabyte Launches ModernBill Version 5.0

Louisville, KY - ModernGigabyte, LLC., developers of ModernBill, the leading billing automation software company, announce the new release of ModernBill 5.0. Built on the new MBAPI, ModernBill 5.0 is no longer just for the hosting industry as the extensibility of the ModernBill core engine provides a foundation for any organization needing a flexible and automated billing solution.

With the release of ModernBill 5.0, many new features are available including a software developer’s kit. Developers can use the SDK, exclusively available to ModernBill customers, to integrate 3rd party applications into the ModernBill 5.0 core engine, also known as the MBAPI. ModernBill 5.0 extends support to larger companies requiring more powerful databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Both MySQL and PostgreSQL are also supported.

ModernBill 5.0 uses the Smarty template engine to allow complete customization of the administration, client and order system. Companies can build themes specific to their branding and integrate ModernBill’s new widget-style shopping cart system into their existing website. These interfaces also can be remotely located from each other thus further improving branding options and increasing security.

Administrators can take full advantage of ModernBill 5.0 by creating unlimited products, add-ons and custom questions that can be presented to customers during the order process. Each product can be tied to a unique account ledger with the new advanced accounting system.
