XPCTS Launches Xen Powered VPS Hosting Service

Vancouver, BC, Canada - XPC Technology Services is pleased to announce the launch of our new virtual private server solution powered by Xen 3.0. The new service has been launched under the brand virtualprivateservers.ca and provides high speed VPS services to small and medium sized businesses. The VPS service fills the void between shared web hosting and dedicated hosting services by allowing clients to have root-level access without requiring physically dedicated servers. VPS hosting is predominantly used by businesses and individuals that need a hosting solution that provides dedicated server resources that cannot be handled using a traditional shared hosting environment.

Virtualprivateservers.ca VPS service is exclusively run using XenTM Powered paravirtualization technology which is an open-source virtual machine monitor, or hypervisor, developed by the University of Cambridge. Xen technology provides secure isolation, resource control, quality-of-service guarantees, and live migration of VPS servers. XPC Technology Services currently uses Xen3.0 and is a beta tester of the Xen Enterprise software. We will be migrating all of our VPS systems to Xen enterprise upon its final production release slated for Sept 2006.

As such we will be using XenTM Powered software exclusively through out our VPS hosting line up.”
