Website hosting company GlobalWebBrands has lowered pricing for its website hosting plans, as well as the upgrades and add-ons that it offers to hosting clients.

The Business hosting plan, which includes 2500 MB of space and 40 GB of monthly transfer, is now available for $3.95 a month, down from $6.95. The Corporate hosting plan, which offers 4000 MB of space and 60 GB of monthly transfer, is now available for $7.95 a month, down from $12.95. The company, which experimented with different price points over the summer, found that clients were happiest with lower prices.
“Even though common thought dictates that lower prices might convey the image of lower quality, in our testing, we found this was not the case,” stated GlobalWebBrands’ Chief Principal Daniel J. Briere. “We are committed to serving our clients’ needs, so we decided to slash our pricing. We want everyone to know that the quality of our hosting plans and customer support, and the features each hosting plan contains, have not changed.”
Both hosting plans still include the same features they contained at the old price point, including the Elefante Script Installer, SiteStudio website builder, and 24/7 toll-free phone support.
As part of the pricing changes, GlobalWebBrands also drastically lowered the prices it charges for service upgrades. These upgrades, which include storage space, traffic, and MySQL databases, are now available for an average price of well under $2.00 per month.
