AT&T Reels in $7.7 Million Contract from Cabela’sMay 12, 2005; 09:54 AM Thursday, May 12, 2005 - Sidney, Neb. - AT&T announced today it has won a $7.7 million networking contract from Cabela's Inc., a leading specialty retailer and the nation's largest direct marketer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise. By terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will host and manage Cabela's customer Web site and online store at www.cabelas.com. The agreement expands Cabela's existing relationship with AT&T. Cabela's growth plans include aggressively expanding online sales by providing a one-stop shopping experience. Cabela's receives approximately 46.6 million visits annually to its Web site. "AT&T is an excellent fit for our company," said Larry Popps, Cabela's director of Management Information Systems. "Their technology and management capabilities, as well as our established relationship, made AT&T an ideal choice for our hosting services solution as we continue to grow and expand our Web site and ultimately improve the customer experience with us."
