San Diego, CA - August 8, 2002 - Aplus.Net, a market leader in providing Web hosting, domain registration, and e-commerce services to small and medium-sized businesses announced today that it will transition its ancillary DSL business to DSL.net (Nasdaq: DSLN).

"Over the past five years Aplus.Net has grown to become a leader in providing Web hosting, domain registration, and e-commerce services to small and medium-sized businesses. Both Aplus.Net and DSL.net are committed to ensuring the best possible transition for the customers. As part of the transaction, DSL.net is opening a Migration Center which will be dedicated to serving the customers during the transition period. The Migration Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST and can be reached toll free at (866) 340-2586.

"We explored many alternatives to ensure that our DSL customers would continue to receive the outstanding service they have become accustomed to. We are confident that our customers will be well served by DSL.net," Vachovsky said.

Aplus.Net was advised on the transaction by SG Capital, LLC, a Los Angeles-based mergers and acquisitions advisor to middle market companies.
