Free Rider Web Hosting announced the launch of Traffic Blazer, a new service that allows
customers to optimize their web sites to help get higher rankings in
search engine results. Traffic Blazer, which costs from $29.95 per
year, looks at several aspects of the web site, including the use of
keywords, frame and Flash usage, and whether the web site can be read
by search engine spiders.
Traffic Blazer also helps customers to
submit their web site to search engines and directories, and then
provides reports on where the web site is appearing in search results.
The
Deluxe and Premium versions of Traffic Blazer provide additional
services, such as the ability to view detailed statistics about the web
site, and to send emails to customers.
"It is important for
webmasters to get their web sites as high as possible in the search
engine results," said Simon Drain, CEO of Free Rider Web Hosting.
"Google handles 200 million searches every day. Most people only look
at the first few pages of search results, so web sites that are further
down in the results are missing out on a lot of traffic."
Simon
Drain recommends that customer use Traffic Blazer as part of a larger
scheme to increase their search engine ranking. "Other factors are also
important," explained Simon. "Google, for example, takes the number of
external links to the site in to account. This means that webmasters
need to work on several areas, such as asking other webmasters to link
to their web site. Traffic Blazer is useful for optimizing a web site
and for submitting to search engines; however, it is not a panacea in
itself."
