Dominic Monkhouse, Managing Director of Rackspace Managed Web Hosting commented, ''This award is testimony to the fact that investment in employees is critical to business success, particularly in a business built on delivering fanatical customer service. Rackspace is one of the top ten best places to work in the country and this award reflects that. When Rackspace submitted its award entry, the judges were suspicious of its 97% response rate. As soon as they came to the offices and saw the team at work they saw why the figure was so high. It’s great to see that Rackspace’s dedication to finding and nurturing the right people for the job is paying off.''
In the survey, 91% of the workforce wrote that they 'love' working at Rackspace. In addition, a further 83% of employees rated their managers highly and 88% of respondents said they live the values of the organisation, which is to providing ''fanatical support'' to customers.
The Sunday Times awards are based upon a confidential employee questionnaire, which compiles views on overall company leadership, management and team. In addition the questionnaire asked for employee opinion regarding perceived wellbeing and prospects for personal growth.
