Apptix Hires New Management Team
HostReview.com Apptix (www.apptix.com), a provider of on-demand, managed messaging and collaboration solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), announced the appointment of Samir Gulati, Matthew Howard and Alexander Yevelev as vice president of marketing, vice president of channel sales and business development, and vice president of web sales, respectively, to execute the company's global corporate strategy and expand its market leadership. The new hires, effective immediately, follow the appointment of CEO Amir Hudda in April 2005. "This new management team brings a wealth of industry experience to Apptix as we strive to increase our worldwide presence in the on-demand messaging and collaboration market," said Hudda. Matthew Howard will be responsible for strengthening existing partner and channel relationships and identifying and developing new distribution channels. He previously served as VP, business development and channel sales, for Groove Networks, which was acquired by Microsoft in March 2005. Alexander Yevelev will drive Apptix's revenue and profitability objectives through direct web sales programs. Prior to joining Apptix, he was VP of operations at 9Net Avenue, which was acquired by Concentric Network, and also served as director of sales and marketing for Rackspace Managed Hosting. |
