Digital River, Inc. (www.digitalriver.com), a provider in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced it is providing e-commerce support for SnapStream Media, Inc. (www.snapstream.com), a provider in digital home entertainment products.

To help SnapStream extend its international online marketing and sales efforts, Digital River is providing localized e-commerce solutions for SnapStream’s new German, French and U.K. sites. On the new sites, which feature SnapStream’s popular Beyond TV™ digital video recording software, consumers can shop in their local language and make purchases in their local currency.

“As growth rates in international online markets continue to outpace U.S. markets, more and more companies are looking overseas to generate incremental revenue streams,” said Dave Alampi, Digital River’s vice president of marketing. “Our e-commerce infrastructure and services are built to help companies take advantage of these emerging market opportunities, creating fully localized shopping experiences for their customers. Our ability to handle the difficult tasks and risks associated with running a global online business - including localized languages, global tax compliance, regulatory controls and multi-lingual customer service - has become an asset for our clients and the company.”

In addition to supporting German, French and English languages and currencies, SnapStream’s new sites offer localized payment methods, including wire transfers and debit card processing. Digital River is hosting the online stores as well as providing online order management, fraud prevention, reporting, digital product fulfillment, e-marketing and localized customer service. The sites are located at http://www.snapstream.fr, http://www.snapstream.de, and http://uk.snapstream.com/.

“We were looking for an efficient and cost effective way to expand our online presence in international markets,” said Rakesh Agrawal, SnapStream’s president and CEO. “Digital River offered us an end-to-end solution that addressed our growing technology and market requirements as well as catered to the needs of our international customer base.”
