Digital River, Inc. (www.digitalriver.com), a provider in e-commerce outsourcing, announced that it signed an online retail agreement with eCOST.com, a leading online discount retailer of brand-name merchandise.

“Our end goal is to market our downloadable product catalog in as many online venues as possible,” said Tom Venable, Digital River’s senior vice president of retail sales.

The new eCOST.com online software download store features a wide range of products from Digital River’s downloadable catalog, including brand name virus protection, Internet security and digital imaging software, as well as DVD/CD authoring tools, software games, utilities and operating systems.

“We are delighted to expand our product offering in conjunction with Digital River. By making available this exciting new category of downloadable software to our customers, we will enjoy the benefit of adding thousands of digital products without adding physical inventory,” said Adam Shaffer, CEO of eCOST.com.

eCOST.com is a leading multi-category online discount retailer of high-quality new, “close-out” and refurbished brand-name merchandise for consumers and small business buyers.
