GeoTrust Appoints Stephen Pace Vice President of Sales
HostReview.com GeoTrust, Inc., a leader in identity verification solutions for e-business and a leading issuer of SSL (secure sockets layer) certificates for web security, today announced that Stephen Pace has joined the company as vice president of sales. Pace brings more than 15 years of sales management experience to GeoTrust, where he will be responsible for driving revenue and market share as the company expands its presence among enterprise and e-commerce customers worldwide. "GeoTrust is increasing market share in all segments of our business, and we're expanding our leadership team to capitalize on new opportunities," said Neal Creighton, president and CEO of GeoTrust. "Steve has a proven track record of growing revenues through strong team leadership, international expansion and via successful partnerships. As identity verification becomes more critical for individuals and corporations, he will be instrumental in leading GeoTrust's sales efforts with businesses looking to secure their online transactions, safeguard their employees and customers and ensure the integrity of their documents." GeoTrust has experienced a period of rapid growth, as evidenced by the latest Netcraft survey* (www.netcraft.com). The Internet research and analysis authority reported in its May 2005 survey that GeoTrust once again experienced the largest month-over-month gain of all vendors in the SSL market. GeoTrust's current vice president of sales and client services, Kristen Robinson, will become vice president of client services in response to GeoTrust's rapid expansion and growing use of the company's solutions by enterprises worldwide. Enterprise security implementations increasingly require customized systems integration as well as enhanced support services. Robinson has extensive experience in leading large client service Creighton adds, "Kristen has done a great job in growing our business over the past three years. Leveraging her expertise with our customers and client services will enable us to continue to grow our enterprise business by providing world class services to our customers." Prior to joining GeoTrust, Pace was executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at Navisite, a $130 million managed application service provider. While there, he headed a staff of more than 90 across various departments. Pace was formerly with Surebridge, where he increased sales by more than 900 percent in just four years. He grew its sales organization from two to more than 60 and regionalized it into four business units. Surebridge was acquired by Navisite in 2004. Additionally, Pace was vice president of worldwide sales and service at NetScout Systems, a provider of network performance management solutions, where he increased company revenues 35 percent quarter-over-quarter for this publicly held company. Pace also held executive positions with Point Information Systems, Seagate Software, Wall Data and Sterling Software. He began his career with IBM. |
