PIPEX Acquires Web Hosting Business

PIPEX Communications has acquired award-winning Donhost, the dedicated and shared hosting and domain name business, to further enhance its hosting capabilities and provide a reseller-based hosting solution.

Donhost is a web hosting business providing shared and dedicated servers, reseller solutions, domain name registration and Internet access to business and residential customers in the UK. Donhost has 92,000 end customers for hosting services and 120,000 domain names, which takes the total number of domain name registrations for the PIPEX group to over 1 million.

The announcement highlights PIPEX's position as a tier one communications and Internet service provider and follows its recently announced financial results which saw turnover increase to £102.3 million, up from £35.2 million in 2003.
