Web Hosting Provider Hostway Announces Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux

PHP5 is the latest incarnation of the popular open-source scripting language. Hostway's decision to offer its customers PHP5 is a natural progression of the company's long-standing support for PHP.

The move to offer both Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora Core follows Red Hat's decision to branch their delivery channels into Community and Enterprise releases.

PHP5 has been through extensive functionality and performance testing. It offers many new features, including the ability to use object-orientated programming for the first time.

Combining the ability to use SOAP (simple object access protocol) and XML extensions, and powered by Zend Engine II, PHP5 now includes functionality that can truly open up web services to developers working on the Linux platform.

The Fedora Project is a group-based venture sponsored by Red Hat Linux in terms of resources. It is open to and influenced by the global Linux community. The goal of the project is to work with the Linux community to build a complete, general purpose operating system exclusively from free software.
