CSC And U.S. Army Material Command Win Logistics 2004 Award

Computer Sciences Corporation (www.csc.com) announced today that it was recognized for its work on the U.S. Army's Logistics Modernization Program.

Dr. Russell A. Vacante, program director of sector leadership at Defense Acquisition University, presented the award to CSC and the Army Materiel Command on behalf of a distinguished panel of judges representing industry, the Department of Defense (DoD) and academia.

"The award winners exemplify the best in current initiatives and have set new standards of excellence for incorporating transformational concepts into future work for the DoD and its partners," said Dr. Vacante.

The company was one of three finalists and the recipient of the "Seamless Technology Implementation Award" on Nov. 30 at the Defense Logistics 2004 Awards Ceremony at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
