St. Paul, Minn. - August 2, 2004 - Agiliti, Inc. a premier IT service provider, was selected by Internet Broadcasting Systems, Inc. (IBS), the leading television Web site content provider, to partner on the development and management of the official Web site for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. From the pre-game U.S. Olympic Team Trials on through the Games, held August 13-29, 2004, NBCOlympics.com will provide real-time results and exclusive multi-media features such as video highlights of events as they happen.

The IBS/Agiliti partnership was formed in the fall of 2003 shortly after IBS was selected as the lead technology provider for the NBCOlympics.com Web site. IBS' content management engine which runs its day-to-day business was a key factor in the company's successful bid to develop the site. "The underlying technology that we use to deliver local news content to our nationwide affiliate network set us apart from our competitors," said Dave Abbott, chief technology officer of IBS. "When we found out we won the business, we needed to scale our staff rapidly to handle the demands of a project this size," Abbott said.

Agiliti was selected by IBS to help meet this need and provide expertise in IT infrastructure and application delivery. "Agiliti has allowed us to ramp-up quickly to meet the demands of the project and they provided the necessary infrastructure expertise to pull this event off," said Abbott. Both IBS and Agiliti will have staff on-site in Athens during the Summer Games to manage the technology infrastructure. Abbott noted worldwide site traffic is estimated at 20 million-plus page views per day during the course of the Summer Games, placing this site as one of the top Internet destinations in 2004.

"Our track record with IBS in providing infrastructure services gave them the confidence to select Agiliti to address the challenges in architectural design and project management that were needed to support the NBC Olympics Web site," said Tom Kieffer, CEO of Agiliti. To fulfill the site's robust requirements, IBS and Agiliti devised a solution that leverages the content management engine of IBS, and uses Agiliti's Tier-One Data Center as well as those of NBC. The site operates on more than 100 servers and the architecture includes support from a global content delivery network (CDN) provider. Kieffer said the project will span 12 months and at its peak, has drawn on the broad infrastructure and hosting expertise of many Agiliti employees.
