SUN Microsystems Invites To Vintage Computer Festival

The mission of VCF is to promote the preservation of 'obsolete' computers by offering attendees a chance to experience the technologies, people and stories that embody the computing revolution. On Friday and Saturday, July 16-17, 2004, the press is invited to view the vintage collections exhibited by computing enthusiasts and to sit in on the presentations that will be given on a variety of topics. Friday's speaking agenda will feature Sun executives discussing SIMH, the Computer History Simulation Project aimed at preserving computing's heritage by simulating systems of historic interest; and the emerging utility model for today's computing systems, juxtaposing the past with the future.
