Sirocom Signs VPN Service Extension with STA Travel

Weybridge, Surrey, UK - 5 July 2004 - Sirocom, the UK’s leading independent Managed VPN Service Provider, has today announced a two year extension to its original $12 million contract with STA Travel, taking the partnership through to at least 2007.

Worth $8m, the extended contract demonstrates Sirocom’s global position in the corporate VPN market space and will see the completion of STA Travel’s existing BLUEe strategy, which will deliver a web-based information service through the global networking of its 400+ offices.

We have continued to maintain a constant dialogue with STA Travel, looking at how we can maximise and evolve our service alongside their changing needs,” explains Simon Rogan, Managing Director of Sirocom, “and this truly highlights our capacity to provide a reliable global network for a global operation.“

The infrastructure of STA Travel and complexity of the BLUEe strategy highlighted the project’s global scale, and in order to increase productivity and service delivery Sirocom has since established a permanent resource office in Australia.
