Sun Microsystems Showcases Largest Technology and Outdoor 'Living' Billboards and 'Java Technology Everywhere In Action' Artwork

SAN FRANCISCO, JAVAONE DEVELOPER CONFERENCE, June 25 -- At this year's JavaOne Conference, the world's largest Java Developer Conference, Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUNW) will unveil San Francisco's largest-ever technology demonstration and the first outdoor demonstration of its kind.

Every evening -- from Saturday, June 26 to Wednesday, June 30 -- code name Project Looking Glass, Sun's next-generation 3D desktop interface, will be projected as a "Living Billboard" outside San Francisco's Moscone Center.

Additionally, on Monday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 29, four emerging Bay Area artists -- David DeRosa, Nome Edonna, Sirron Norris and Kelly Tunstall -- will create Java technology inspired works of art on the Moscone Center pavilion floor.

Outdoor Technology Demonstration

When and where:

The Living Billboard will be on display in two locations near the Moscone Center(Howard & 4th as well as Howard St. & 5th) every evening from June 26 to 30.

Curtis Sasaki, Vice-President, Desktop Solutions and Hideya Kawahara, the creator of Project Looking Glass, will be taking questions live from the 4th and Howard billboard location on Monday, June 28 at 8 p.m.

Java Technology-Inspired Art Exhibit

When and where:

June 28 & 29 from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. PDT live on the Moscone pavilion floor (Booths: 225/227/324/326).

On Wednesday, June 30 the finished pieces will be on display for the public at the South entrance of the Moscone center.
